In announcing that Microgaming had won, the evenings host - former Tory MP and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth - described the company as ....part of the next wave of business to take the Island into the future.
Chief Executive Officer Roger Raatgever commenting on the win, said: I can only quote from part of our award citation: Microgaming quickly realised that the Internet was not just a version of an offline casino room, but a totally new playing experience with the potential to entertain and engage people in new ways. It also realised that to achieve this it would require constant evolution and innovation. We want to thank all of our staff for their part in bringing this vision to fruition and making this win possible.
