GB IDENTITY AND GEO-LOCATION SOFTWARE FOR BETBROKERS
Compliance with KYC guidelines and underage gambler risk reduced for public company

British identity and geo-location software developer GB Group as signed up Betbrokers for its age and identity verification product, helping the recently AIM London listed betting brokerage to reduce the risk of accepting underage Internet gamblers.

Making the announcement, Betbrokers CEO Wayne Lochner emphasised the necessity for gambling companies such as his to invest in the best identity and age verification technology available. "As the worlds first independent betting brokerage, and a recent entrant to the AIM, its vital that we set a gold standard for bringing on new players," he said.

"The service means we are fully compliant with the UKs Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines and the Financial Services Authoritys money laundering rules."

GB Group moved quickly with events late last year following the US legislative ban impacting online gambling, responding to the UIEGA with extended international identity verification technology branded ID3, by including a capability for its clients to monitor the geographic location of site users. The product also enables betting sites to monitor the location of all transactions coming from that account on an ongoing basis. ID3-Check is used for the verification of overseas citizens in 21 countries.

The service, included as part of GBs new international age and identity verification service called ID3-Check, enables online gaming businesses to identify instantly where a customer is located before processing their application. Betting sites can then either divert the applicant to a legal free play area on their site or block the transaction altogether.

The ID3-Check service was launched at the industrys flagship event in Barcelona last October, EIG (European I-Gaming) Expo.
