Email screw-up will be investigated, promises Asian gambling group
The hundreds of Samvo Casino players whose email addresses were mistakenly shotgunned around the Internet in a botched marketing email received an official apology from the Asian backed company within hours of the first complaint submitted.
The apology notes that:
"It has come to our attention that your email address may have been visible to all recipients during the last correspondence. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

"Data protection of our customers is of great importance to our company and this matter will be investigated internally with highest priority. May I take this opportunity to remind you that Samvo maintain strict security standards and procedures with a view to preventing unauthorised access to your data by anyone, including our staff. We use state of the art technologies such as firewall facilities as well as infrastructure design and server authentication to protect the security of your data."
