MARATHONBET TO OPEN ONLINE POKER ROOM ON CAKE POKER NETWORK

Eastern European sports bet company joins the online poker trend

Cake online poker network has welcomed a new poker room to its ranks in the shape of MarathonBet.com. Marathon is described as one of the largest sports betting operations in Eastern Europe and CIS countries and is launching an online poker room as part of plans to offer new services to users.

Support and security will be initially provided by Red Star Poker which boasts an established and experienced poker team.

Cake Network spokesmen hint that another major sportsbook partner announcement will follow soon, revealing that Cake Poker Network enjoyed exceptional growth in 2007, with the average monthly rake going up by more than 15 percent every month. Peak concurrent player growth was more than 370 percent year-on-year, with the numbers indicating that this trend is likely to continue in 2008.

Other powerful poker companies who have joined the Cake Poker Network include Sportsbook.com, Players Only.com, Betus.com and Red Star Poker.com.
