TellPoker Looking to Turn Players into Company Shareholders
The Microgaming Poker Network added a new member to its operator ranks this
week with the admission of TellPoker.com, which brings with it the innovative Pokershare
style approach of attracting new customers by making their players shareholders in the
company. During the first one and a half years of business TellPoker will give away
40 percent of its revenue, and 20 percent of the company shares.

Nevada Rep Jon Porter gets the ball rolling for looking at online gambling before trying to ban it
42 US politicians have so far endorsed Nevada Rep. Jon Porter's initiative in proposing a
Congressional investigative committee to thoroughly explore every facet of online gambling
instead of repeatedly trying to kill it off. Porter has introduced the Internet Gambling Study
Commission Act, which establishes a commission to examine the impact of online gambling.

A new dimension for WSOP fans
The Bluff Magazine publishers, Bluff Media have been given the go ahead by
Harrah's Entertainment to produce live radio broadcasts from this
year's World Series of Poker tournament. The non-binding agreement
is subject to definitive documentation.
“This is another first for poker,” said Jeffrey Pollack, Commissioner of
the World Series of Poker. “Now fans can experience all of the color,
thrills and action of our tournament on Sirius Satellite Radio and with
expert perspective and behind-the-scenes access from Bluff Poker Radio.”

The sky is no limit for Gibraltar gaming group's advertising
The Gibraltar-based gmbling group Mansion.com pulled off a Bodog style six-figure aircraft advertising deal this week with Flybe, one of Europe’s leading low cost airlines, to brand one of their jet aircraft.
The two-year aircraft wrap deal was unveiled for a one-off World Cup charter appearance, before it commences normal Flybe scheduled services now encompassing 108 stops, 40 airports and spanning 7 countries. David Kinsman, Chief Operating Office at Mansion, punned: "We continue to seek new and unique partnerships that are guaranteed to turn heads. The deal we have inked with Flybe elevates our brand to new heights!"

New England's GameLogic licenses popular combination of bingo and slots
Waltham, New England-based GameLogic Inc. has licensed online game Slingo as the latest addition to its PlayAway portfolio for land casinos.

But this twenty-something made a fortune out of annoying emails
Texas state officials revealed this week that one of the world's most notorious spammers, his former partners and their companies have agreed to pay $10 million to settle a state lawsuit.
Ryan Pitylak, 24, a graduate of the University of Texas, admitted sending 25 million e-mails every day at the height of his spamming operation in 2004.
At one time, Pitylak was listed as the fourth-worst spammer in the world by the Spamhaus Project, a London-based international clearinghouse that tracks spammers and works closely with law enforcement officials.

Founders' holdings reduced by 190 million shares
Last week's sell off of a total of some 190 million shares by the 4 founders of Party Gaming (see previous InfoPowa report) continued to make for an unsteady stock this week. The situation was exacerbated by two of the founders, Dikshit and Bhargarva stepping down from the Board. Bhargava resigned as marketing director, and Dikshit said he was stepping down from the board to focus on product development.

SportXction software destined for major gaming company
Global Interactive Gaming (GIG) announced a deal with a major Latin American gambling group, Hipodromo de Agua Caliente S.A. de C.V. this week which will empower Caliente to offer advanced play-by-play sports betting on its successful race and sports books.
GIG is a subsidiary of Interactive Systems Worldwide, a publicly listed provider.
Caliente owns or operates 160 betting shops, known as Race & Sports Books, throughout Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean. GIG will provide software and services which will enable Caliente to offer an enhanced play-by-play sports betting service in its Race & Sports Books. These enhanced betting markets will also be deployed on Caliente's Internet website.
